I’m an award-winning, Chartered Marketer (CM SA), accredited by the Marketing Association of South Africa (MASA) in 2020, and a recognised voice in African brand and marketing leadership. My corporate career reflects deep, hands-on brand-building experience across some of South Africa’s most iconic FMCG houses, including PepsiCo, where I served as Demand Accelerator: Shopper Marketing Manager – Snacks, bringing sharp commercial instincts to retail media and shopper activation. At Tiger Brands, I served as Portfolio Brand Manager for Premium & Value Brands within the beverages category (2023–2024). Prior to that, I spent over five years at Danone, rising from Junior Brand Manager (2017–2020) to Brand Manager (2020–2023), where I developed deep expertise in brand strategy and marketing communications. My career began in brand marketing at POWER 98.7 (2014–2017). In 2021, I founded and began hosting The CMO Corner, a podcast that brings together leading Chief Marketing Officers and marketing executives from across the African continent to discuss brand building, career journeys, and the future of marketing — building it into a respected platform for African marketing leadership voices, distributed across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube. I extend my influence through board and industry positions, serving as a Partner and Board Member at PhilaQ (since 2023), a new-age, digitally led health and wellness company, and as a Committee Member on the Youth Action Council of IAB South Africa (since 2025). My industry contributions include being a Scientific Committee Member for the Brand Africa Top 100 Africa’s Best Brands (since 2019), a PRISM Awards judge (2021–2022), and a Top 16 Youth Owned Brands judge (2023–2024). My marketing excellence has been recognised with a Smarties Award for Retail Marketing Excellence on the Lay’s UCL/UEFA campaign. At the core of everything I do is a genuine passion for uplifting others — especially young people — by helping them grow their digital skills for where the world is heading. I’m energised by the intersection of Marketing, Platforms/Technology, and People, and by the role AI is now playing in shaping that future. This is the space I focus on through HOK Ventures, my private office, where I bring together media, commercial strategy, and people development under one roof.
