Hi, I’m Montana Verhage, a 21-year-old Copywriter at Joe Public Durban and an official 2025 IAB Front Row Delegate.
Growing up, my thinking always tended to zig where others zagged – spotting patterns most missed and connecting dots no one else realised belonged together. So, even while studying Economics at UCT, I knew I had to find my way into advertising.
Suddenly, all my wild thoughts had a home. It turned my writing into a way of making sense of the world, while causing a little mischief along the way.
I genuinely love what I get to do. I’m always looking beyond the ordinary to uncover the exciting thoughts hiding underneath, chasing those “imagine if” moments – the ones that spark bold ideas, and make people pause and think, “How did they even come up with that?” Ideas that stir something. Ideas that stick. That’s me. I can’t wait to see you in the Front Row.
