Ours is an unconventional business success story. By doing things  differently and better for over 25 years, we have grown from small  beginnings into one of the largest publishers and printers in South  Africa. Our roots are deeply embedded in the country, and our heritage  directly and indirectly correlates with that of many of South Africa’s  original printing giants. We remain the maverick company of our early  days, continuing to push the boundaries and display a free spirited  flair for print.

Founded in 1980 by entrepreneurs Terry Moolman and Noel Coburn, we are a  major participant in the South African print media industry. We are  involved in publishing a number of regional community newspapers, The  Citizen daily newspaper and 12 major magazines, as well as commercial  printing, packaging, stationery manufacture and book printing.

Caxton and CTP Publishers and Printers Limited is recognised as one  of the largest publishers and printers of books, magazines, newspapers  and commercial print in South Africa. We are involved in various fields  of publishing and printing i.e. newspapers, magazines, commercial print,  book printing, stationery, packaging and labels, as well as  manufacturing ink for web presses. Approximately 5 500 people are  employed by the group.

We are driven by the quest for excellence across all disciplines of  printing and publishing. Working with a team of committed, well trained  and empowered employees we aim to provide products of outstanding  quality to our clients and superior returns to our shareholders, whilst  contributing to the growth of a democratic and prosperous South Africa.
