Ticket sales open for 2017 IAB Digital Summit

Ticket sales opened today for the third annual IAB Digital Summit coming up on 16 March. The highly anticipated line-up features a mix of global digital heavyweights and local industry pioneers including Ferial Haffajee, Editor at Large for HuffPostSA; John Sanei, Trend Specialist and founder #Trenovate; Jessy Severins, Ad and Operations Manager for Gumtree; and Lee Naik CEO for TransUnion Africa. Speakers will continue to be announced over the next few weeks.

While this promises to be the best Summit to date, ticket prices remain unchanged thanks to partnerships with heavy-hitting sponsors.

Says Josephine Buys, CEO of IAB SA, “The generosity of our partners has allowed us to offer the same ticket prices as last year. This is important to us – we believe as many people as possible should have the opportunity to benefit from the learnings at the Summit.”

The IAB SA will stand by this sentiment by inviting 50 future digital leaders to attend the Summit free of charge. “We are deeply invested in the future and ongoing transformation of the digital industry, and are dedicated to empowering those who will be driving digital innovation in decades to come,” says Buys.

The Summit filled all 450 seats last year, which has led to IAB SA securing The Galleria in Sandton, a bigger venue that can accommodate up to 650 people.

The IAB Digital Summit’s growing popularity and diverse speaker and attendee list illustrates that digital is no longer a plug-in, but a central component of any successful business. It has the potential to unlock powerful insight and efficiency, and radically transform a business in record time.

The impact of digital extends into all industries, so the program has been specifically curated to have relevance to all IAB SA members. From digital decision makers to mid-career mavericks and freshly qualified creatives, the program is designed to ensure everyone will get something of value out of the Summit.

“Our laser point program provides short, sharp segments that give listeners digital insights that they use in their business immediately. We firmly believe that local digital leaders can stand shoulder to shoulder with global talent, so our line-up includes the best of both,” Buys comments.

The Summit will be followed by the IAB Bookmark Awards, in which South Africa’s top digital talent will be recognised.

Buys adds, “As one of the standout awards ceremonies on South Africa’s digital calendar, we have listened to your feedback to make the night one to remember. Expect great entertainment, standout cuisine and a renewed list of award categories!”
